Spring Bar
Definition
What is a Spring Bar in Watches?
A spring bar, also known as a spring pin or lug pin, is a small component used to attach watch straps or bracelets to the lugs of the watch case. It serves as a pivot point for the strap or bracelet, allowing it to be easily mounted or removed for strap changes or adjustments.
How it Works: Spring bars have two spring-loaded ends that fit into holes in the watch lugs and the strap or bracelet. When pressure is applied, the spring bars compress, allowing the strap or bracelet to be inserted or removed. Once the pressure is released, the spring bars expand, securing the strap or bracelet in place.
